Asansol, Sept. 19 -- The National Institute of Technology Durgapur (NIT Durgapur) has achieved a major milestone in semiconductor technology, with its indigenously developed chip featured in a special memento presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the inaugural session of SEMICON India 2026.

The fifth edition of the global summit is being held from September 17-19, at Yashobhoomi in Dwarka, New Delhi, bringing together semiconductor companies, researchers, academia, startups and tech professionals from across the globe.
