Siliguri, Sept. 11 -- The Siliguri Metropolitan Police conducted simultaneous raids on two IT parks in Matigara around 2 a.m. on Friday amid heavy rain and arrested nine persons, including four women, for their alleged involvement in illegal call centre operations.
Acting on specific information about alleged illegal activities, a large police team of around 150-200 personnel cordoned off the two IT parks and launched searches simultaneously after splitting into two groups. Senior police officers also took part in the operation.
