Kolkata, June 24 -- The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two prime accused in connection with a four-year-old bomb blast case in Amta located in West Bengal's Howrah district.

The duo arrested last night has been identified as Asfar Midya and Entajul Midya.

In 2022, one person died and three others were injured in an explosion that occurred while bombs were being manufactured in Amta. The NIA took over the investigation of the case in April 2024.

On February 23, 2022, Sheikh Moharram died in an explosion while bombs were being illegally manufactured near Chandrapur Market in Amta. Investigators claimed that Asfar and Entajul were the ones overseeing the bomb-making operations. It was alleged that the accused orchestrated ...
