Asansol, Sept. 27 -- The Indian Air Force (IAF) authorities at Air Force Station Arjan Singh in Panagarh, under the Eastern Command in West Bengal's West Burdwan district, have launched a public awareness drive among residents and traders to address concerns over flight safety.
Established shortly after Independence, the airbase witnesses regular fighter jet deployments for surveillance and strategic exercises, while pilots also undergo training there. However, improper waste disposal in areas surrounding the base has emerged as a major safety concern for aircraft operating in the vicinity.
