Kolkata, Sept. 21 -- Nowda MLA and founder of the Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP), Humayun Kabir, appeared before the police at Berhampore police station on Monday in connection with a controversial audio clip in which he has allegedly made provocative remarks.
Kabir reached the police station before the scheduled reporting time of 11 am and remained there for around four-and-a-half hours. He must reappear at the Berhampore police station on September 23 at around 11:00 am, a police source said.
He assured the investigating officers of his full cooperation, but used his interaction with the media outside the police station to launch a sharp attack on the administration and the ruling party.
