Siliguri, Sept. 13 -- A new political outfit, the Gorkhaland Sangram Party (GSP), was formally launched in West Bengal's Darjeeling hills on Sunday with a one-point agenda of demanding a separate state of Gorkhaland.

The party has appointed Sanjay Thulung as its president and Leela Bahadur Gurung as its general secretary. The party flag, featuring maroon and dark green colours, was unveiled at the launch. Its logo has two crossed kukris with a rising sun in the middle. The slogan on the flag is "Gorkha Hit Sarbopari", meaning "Gorkha interests above all".
