Siliguri, Sept. 14 -- The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) in Jalpaiguri on Monday granted interim bail to four students who were detained by police three days ago following a complaint lodged by their school headmaster.
The four students were produced before the JJB today after remaining in the Board's safe custody for the past three days. JJB Public Prosecutor Shanta Chatterjee said the magistrate granted them interim bail with stringent conditions.
"The same offence cannot be punished twice. Therefore, the matter of these students was specially considered today," Chatterjee told reporters.
