Kolkata, Aug. 28 -- Families across West Bengal continued to wait anxiously for news of relatives unaccounted for after the devastating flash floods in Nepal, with several pilgrims from Kolkata and neighbouring areas still out of communication as rescue and evacuation operations continued on Friday.
Many labourers hailing from the state and working in different infrastructure and hydroelectric projects in the Himalayan country are also missing.
Among those waiting is Senjuti Sanyal of Garia-Boral in Kolkata, who has not heard from her husband Jayanta since August 26.
