Midnapore, Sept. 20 -- Congress's Nandigram Assembly bypoll candidate Milan Pradhan, who is already in judicial custody in connection with a 2007 murder case, faces another legal proceeding in a separate case dating back nearly two decades.
Nandigram police have moved the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court in Haldia seeking permission to show Pradhan arrested in connection with a case arising from Nandigram Police Station registered on January 8, 2007.
According to the police petition, Pradhan, 58, of Gangra in Nandigram, was arrested on September 1 in another case, arising from Nandigram PS registered on November 8, 2007.
