Kolkata, Oct. 5 -- Sagardighi MLA Bayron Biswas, who suffered burn injuries in a fire at his guest house in Dhuliyan on Saturday morning, is in a stable condition and responding to treatment, hospital sources said.
Biswas is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU of a private hospital, while his family said the initial danger has passed.
The fire broke out around 11 am in a first-floor room of the guest house on Saturday when Biswas was sleeping.
His family suspects that a short circuit in the air conditioner triggered the blaze, though the police and fire department are yet to establish the exact cause.
