Burdwan, Sept. 16 -- A Class 2 student was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Khari river in Burdwan on Monday, hours after she went missing while returning from tuition classes.
According to family members, the girl, a resident of Gouriranga area under Nadanghat police station in Kalna, had gone to a local private tutor in the morning. The family alleged that a minor boy from the same locality also attended the same tuition class.
When the girl did not return home for a long time, her family members and villagers launched a search. The family claimed that the minor boy told them that the girl had been taken away on a motorcycle by someone. Based on the information, the family approached Nadanghat police station.
