Kolkata, Aug. 25 -- The West Bengal unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today appointed union Minister of State Sukanta Majumdar as in-charge of its Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) election campaign, while Rajya Sabha MP Rahul Sinha was named in-charge for the Howrah Municipal Corporation (HMC) polls, as the party began putting in place its organisational machinery for the upcoming civic elections.
According to a notification issued by the state BJP and signed by state general secretary and office in-charge Shashi Agnihotri, the appointments take immediate effect.
