Birbhum, May 30 -- Ahead of Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee's first visit to Birbhum district following the May 4 election drubbing, the party's former MLA of Labhpur assembly seat, Abhijit Sinha, resigned as member of the district TMC core committee.
Banerjee, also Diamond Harbour sitting MP, is scheduled to visit Birbhum district on Tuesday to allegedly discuss post-poll violence and meet the families of the victims.
Sinha lost in the assembly polls against Debashish Ojha of the BJP.
