Agartala, Sept. 14 -- As part of a BJP initiative to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, beneficiaries of state and Central government welfare schemes in Tripura will be lighting lamps at their homes on September 17.
The BJP president Abhishek Debroy said that the initiative, named "Ashirwad Ka Diya", aims to pray for Modi's good health and long life.
He also highlighted that the BJP had arranged various service-oriented programs to honour the Prime Minister's birthday, with more than 200 donors participating in the blood donation camp and similar programs being conducted at district headquarters across Tripura.
