Shivamogga, Aug. 4 -- Congress efforts to contain growing discontent over Karnataka's Cabinet expansion received temporary relief on Tuesday after disgruntled MLA Belur Gopalakrishna withdrew his resignation threat, but not before taking an indirect swipe at former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and renewing criticism of the party's leadership over ministerial selections.
The Sagar MLA, who had announced his decision to resign from the Assembly after being denied a ministerial berth, said he had reconsidered his move following an appeal from Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
