Agartala, June 14 -- A 60-year-old man was severely injured in a bear attack at Bhuban Chowdhury Para in Purba Simna ADC Village, under West Tripura district, on Saturday.
The incident is raising new concerns among local residents regarding the persistent presence of bears in the area. However, wildlife officials said the villagers have been advised to restrain from entering into deep forest.
The victim, identified as Lalit Debbarma, suffered extensive injuries when a bear attacked him, biting into his left leg and causing significant tissue damage, along with injuries across various parts of his body.
