Hyderabad, Sept. 25 -- A delegation led by National BC Welfare Association president and Rajya Sabha member R Krishnaiah on Friday met Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and urged the Telangana government to strengthen staffing and improve accommodation and other facilities in BC, SC and ST college hostels.
The delegation said nearly 10 lakh students were facing difficulties due to staff shortages and inadequate accommodation in hostels. It urged the government to review the situation and take immediate measures to improve facilities for students pursuing higher education courses such as degree, PG, engineering, medicine and pharmacy.
