Nagarkurnool, Feb. 24 -- The Telangana Backward Classes Commission on Tuesday conducted an on-the-spot inquiry into the attack on a Backward Classes family during the Mallanna Jatara at Kummera village in Nagarkurnool district, which allegedly led to the death of a two-month-old infant.

Commission Chairman G Niranjan, along with members Rapolu Jaiprakash, Tirumalagiri Surender and Balalakshmi Ranga, visited the village along with district officials and media representatives.

The Commission inspected the Jatara site and gathered details about the incident in which Ganesh and Monika, belonging to the BC community, were reportedly attacked following a dispute over the collection of entry fees during the fair held on February 19.
