Mumbai, May 7 -- Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray at his residence, triggering political speculation in the state. However, Bawankule clarified after the meeting that it was merely a goodwill visit and no political discussions took place.
Speaking to reporters, Bawankule who is a senior BJ P leader, said that after the Assembly elections he had taken charge as a minister and had earlier promised Raj Thackeray that he would visit him for tea. He added that the opportunity finally came today, and the two leaders had an informal interaction over tea.
