Bareilly, April 6 -- A shocking twist has emerged in a fatal road accident that took place on the Lucknow-Bareilly highway under the CB Ganj police station limits.
What initially appeared to be a tragic crash has now been revealed as a criminal case involving kidnapping and extortion, police said on Monday.
According to police sources, five men travelling in a Bolero vehicle were involved in the accident. Investigations later confirmed that all five were criminals.
Three of them died on the spot, while one sustained serious injuries. The fifth suspect is also believed to be involved in the crime.
