Lucknow, July 12 -- Bank loan recovery has improved significantly over the past year in Uttar Pradesh, reports here said.

According to a joint report submitted by banks to the government recently, pending recovery certificates (RCs) have decreased from 23.23 lakh to 9.32 lakh, a reduction of 13.91 lakh. The pending amount associated with these certificates has also decreased from Rs 36,994 crore to Rs 17,856 crore.

Pending applications under the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest (SARFAESI) Act have also decreased from 4,953 to 4,497.
