Dhaka, Aug. 27 -- Bangladesh has formed a new team to review issues surrounding the Ganges Water Sharing Treaty with India and has already informed New Delhi of the move, Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman told parliament Thursday.
"The government is now awaiting their response," Khalilur said in response to a supplementary question from Jamaat MP Abdul Alim.
Last week, India's Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, regarding the treaty, said "As you would be aware the Ganga Water Treaty was signed in 1996 for a period of 30 years.
