Mumbai, Sept. 1 -- The much-loved Marathi folk song 'Ek Chimna Chivchivala' from the thriller "Gondhal" has been given a contemporary makeover, with the new version titled Chimna featuring rapper Badshah.
"Gondhaal" has bagged six awards out of 19 nominations at the Filmfare Marathi Awards 2026. The film was also screened at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa 2025. The film has a rating of 9.0 on IMDb.
Now, this Marathi thriller is set to release in four other languages, including Hindi. 'Chimna' blends traditional Maharashtrian folk music with contemporary hip-hop.
