New Delhi, Oct. 31 -- India will have a guaranteed representative in the women's singles final of the Hylo Open Super 500 after P V Sindhu and Anmol Kharb booked their places in the semifinals with contrasting victories in Saarbrucken on Friday.

Lakshya Sen also kept India's hopes alive in the men's singles, battling past Finland's Kalle Koljonen to reach the last four.

Sindhu made short work of Germany's Amalie Schulz, registering a 21-12, 21-10 win in 28 minutes. Coming off a runner-up finish at the French Open, the double Olympic medallist maintained her momentum and controlled the match from the outset, taking 42 of the 64 points played.

Her next opponent will be Anmol, who had to work much harder to get past sixth seed Unnati Hooda....
