California, June 22 -- Lakshya Sen will return to lead the Indian charge at the US Open 2026 badminton tournament, which starts here from Tuesday.
Paris 2024 Olympics semi-finalist Lakshya Sen had skipped the Australian and Macau Opens and was last seen in action at the Indonesia Open in the first week of June.
Lakshya, 14th in the badminton rankings, has been seeded second for the BWF Super 300 tournament's men's singles draw, only behind Chinese Taipei's Chou Tien-chen, currentlythe world No. 6.
Former world No. 1 Kidambi Srikanth, Lakshya's fellow Indian badminton player, will be thethird seed, according to olympics.com.
