Ranchi, Feb. 27 -- Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi on Friday demanded that the state government make public all details related to the Chief Minister Air Ambulance Scheme following the Chatra air ambulance crash.
The crash took place on February 23, 2026, when a Red Bird company aircraft carrying burn patient Sanjay Kumar from Ranchi to Delhi went down in Chatra district. Seven persons, including the pilot, were killed.
Marandi said if there was any lapse on the part of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, action should be taken. However, he stressed that the state government must disclose complete information about the scheme launched in 2023.
