Jaipur, Aug. 2 -- Against the backdrop of remarks by Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra that were seen as reflecting discontent within the party, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday advised party workers not to raise slogans seeking a fourth term for him and instead focus on strengthening the Congress.

The three-time former Chief Minister was addressing a gathering of party workers in his hometown of Jodhpur. As Gehlot arrived at the venue, supporters raised slogans of "Ashok Gehlot Chauthi Baar", expressing their desire to see him lead the Congress government again after the 2028 Assembly elections.

Gehlot immediately intervened and urged them to refrain from raising personalised slogans.
