Hyderabad, May 2 -- In the wake of recent accidents on the Outer Ring Road and complaints from motorists, State Director General of Police (DGP) C. V. Anand on Saturday directed traffic police to perform their duties efficiently while ensuring minimal inconvenience to the public, especially during VIP convoy movements.
The directive comes in the wake of recent accidents, including some fatal ones, on the Outer Ring Road and complaints from motorists about prolonged traffic stoppages during VIP movements.
The DGP said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had expressed concern over such incidents and instructed that traffic should not be halted for extended periods for convoy movement.
