Shillong, July 31 -- The five-day autumn session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will commence from August 24 to 28, an assembly official said on Friday.
Speaker Thomas Ampang Sangma said the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Meghalaya Assembly has unanimously approved the calendar for the session.
"There will be five working days - three for government business and two for private members' business," Sangma said after chairing the BAC meeting.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Parliamentary Affairs Prestone Tynsong, Leader of Opposition Dr Mukul Sangma and Opposition Chief Whip Charles Pyngrope and Assembly officials.
