Hyderabad, Sept. 1 -- Lannett Company LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc., has launched the generic version of Advair Diskus (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol inhalation powder) in the US market in 100/50 mcg and 250/50 mcg strengths.
The launch marks the first product from Aurobindo Pharma's inhalation pipeline to be commercialised in the US, as the company expands its portfolio of complex and differentiated inhalation products.
Advair Diskus, a combination therapy, is indicated for the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
The launch is part of its efforts to expand its global pharmaceutical portfolio, the Pharma company said in a release here on Monday.
