Bhubaneswar, June 1 -- In a first-of-its-kind initiative in India, Reliance Foundation has launched a global-standard training programme on protecting crop-dependent livelihoods during emergencies, bringing together agricultural experts, practitioners and development partners in Bhubaneswar ahead of the monsoon season.
The five-day training programme focuses on the Standards for Supporting Crop-Related Livelihoods in Emergencies (SEADS), an internationally recognised framework that guides humanitarian agencies in designing, implementing and evaluating agricultural interventions during disasters.
