Nahan, March 11 -- International athlete Virender Singh visited Eternal University, Baru Sahib, where he participated in a special sports awareness event aimed at promoting a drug-free lifestyle among youth.
The athlete arrived at the university on Monday evening and received a warm welcome from officials of the Kalgidhar Trust and the university administration.
The highlight of the visit was the event, titled "Awareness Run for a Drug-Free Future", organised at Gurdas Hall on the university campus.
The programme combined sports with a strong social message against drug abuse. Dr. T.S. Banipal, Dean Academics, and Balraj Singh, Director Admissions, were present on the occasion and formally welcomed the dignitaries and participants.
