New Delhi, July 7 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday proposed a new framework for India-Indonesia ties, christened the "Ganga-Mahakam Vision", as he called for broadening cooperation in trade, technology, maritime security, connectivity and global governance during his landmark address to the Indonesian Parliament.

Making history as the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Indonesian legislature, Modi described India and Indonesia as "natural and trusted partners" whose relationship has been shaped by centuries of civilisational exchanges, maritime links and shared democratic values.
