Ranchi/Tinsukia (Assam), March 10 -- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday said Assam cannot move forward without the participation and empowerment of Adivasi communities living in the state.

Addressing a gathering organised by the Assam Adivasi Students Association in Tinsukia district, Soren assured that Jharkhand would stand with Adivasi communities in Assam and support their struggle for rights and recognition.

He said Adivasi, Dalit and backward communities have historically faced social and economic disadvantages but have continued to fight for their rights.
