Aichi-Nagoya (Japan), July 23 -- The Indian men's and women's Kabaddi teams were both placed in Group A for their respective competitions at the Asian Games 2026 here.
The group compositions for both kabaddi competitions at the 20th Asian Games were confirmed on Thursday. India's men were drawn alongside Bangladesh, the Republic of Korea, Chinese Taipei and Japan in Group A.
Nepal, Thailand, Pakistan, Malaysia and the Islamic Republic of Iran make up Group B, keeping India and the Iranians - traditional powerhouses of the sport - apart for the group phase.
