Nagoya (Japan), Sept. 21 -- World No. 2 Kunlavut Vitidsarn led Thailand to a 3-0 victory over Macao, China, while South Korea defeated Hong Kong, China 3-1 to reach the men's team badminton quarterfinals at the Asian Games on Monday.
South Korea took the lead when Yu Tae-bin rallied from a game down to beat Hong Kong, China's Lee Cheuk Yiu 18-21, 21-16, 22-20 in the men's singles opener.
World No. 1 men's doubles pair Kim Won-ho and Seo Seung-jae then defeated Deng Chi Fai and Hung Kuei Chun 21-9, 21-10 to put South Korea 2-0 ahead.
"Honestly, playing against the world No. 1 is like playing against a wall. Their defense is unbreakable. It's really impressive," Hung said after the game.
