Kannur, Oct. 14 -- The ashes of V. Devika (22), a native of Padiyoor in Iritty in Kannur district, who died after being hit by a train in Japan, will reach Thiruvananthapuram by air at around 0230 hours on October 15 and be taken to her hometown the following morning.
NORKA Roots officials will receive the ashes at Thiruvananthapuram and transport them by train to Devika's home on the morning of October 16. Irikkur MLA Adv. Sajeev Joseph will lead the team handing over the ashes to her family.
The arrival, originally scheduled for October 14, was postponed to October 15 due to technical reasons, the NORKA Roots release said.
As it was not possible to bring Devika's body back to India, her cremation was performed in Japan with the consent...
