Chennai, June 2 -- As the nomination having already opened for the election to the June 18 lone Rajya Sabha seat from the Tamil Nadu Assembly, veteran Congress leader and former union Minister P Chidambaram met Chief Minister and TVK Fouder C Joseph Vijay, triggering speculations of the National party seeking allotment of the seat to it.
The meeting held at the State Secretariat on Tuesday afternoon was described as a courtesy call, as Mr Chidambaram was the first top Congress leader to meet him after the National party joined the Vijay cabinet after jumping to his aid to mop up enough numbers to prove his majoirty in the Assembly.
