Itanagar, May 1 -- Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik presented the prestigious 'Land of the Rising Sun' medallion for excellence to Manami Moyir Gamlin at Lok Bhavan here on Friday.
A student of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Nirjuli, Manami, was honoured for her outstanding dedication and achievements in Indian classical dance.
Commending her talent, the Governor lauded her graceful performances and commitment to preserving India's rich cultural heritage. He noted that she has excelled in classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Odissi, while also showcasing versatility in folk traditions like Lavani.
