Itanagar, April 8 -- Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Wednesday inaugurated the renovated and modernized Sessa Mini Hydel Station (3x500 kW) in West Kameng district, in the presence of MLA Thrizino-Buragaon Tenzin Nyima Glow.

Originally commissioned in 1992, the hydel project had remained non-operational for several years due to ageing infrastructure. It has now been successfully revived with modern electromechanical systems and upgraded civil works.

With an installed capacity of 3x500 kW and improved 33 kV grid connectivity, the plant is expected to provide reliable and efficient power supply to over 1,500 households in Sessa, Tippi, Bhalukpong, and nearby villages.
