Itanagar, April 29 -- The Arunachal Pradesh government has introduced thermal drone technology to strengthen wildlife monitoring and forest surveillance, marking a significant step towards modernising conservation efforts in the state.

The initiative, launched by the Department of Forest, Environment and Climate Change, includes a week-long hands-on training programme for frontline forest personnel. The training is being conducted by experts from RNR Unmanned Aerial Systems Pvt Ltd to equip staff with advanced drone operation and real-time monitoring skills.
