Itanagar, June 4 -- In a major breakthrough against drug trafficking, Banderdewa Police has arrested three alleged drug peddlers and seized suspected heroin during a naka checking operation at the Banderdewa Check Gate.

Acting on credible intelligence regarding the transportation of narcotic substances from Assam into Arunachal Pradesh, a police team led by Officer-in-Charge of Banderdewa Police Station, Inspector Kipa Hamak, along with SI B Pegu, SI T Hinda, lady constable Rita Devi, and CRPF personnel, laid a trap and intercepted a vehicle, Maruti Alto K10 (Rgn No. AR-01V-3694).
