Itanagar, July 7 -- In a latest development, a total of 981 villagers from six villages in Arunachal Pradesh's Siang district signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on Tuesday in support of the Pre-Feasibility Report (PFR) for the proposed Siang Upper Multipurpose Project (SUMP).
The signing programme was held at the Siang Deputy Commissioner's office in Boleng under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu.
The signatories included 544 villagers from Riga, 88 from Parong, 68 from Sitang, 160 from Riew, 26 from Begging, and 95 from Pangkang (Jorkong) village.
