Itanagar, May 10 -- The Likabali Forest Division successfully rescued and safely released a python into its natural habitat after it was spotted in a residential area at Masi village today.

The rescue operation was conducted under the supervision of Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Keto Basar with active involvement from Range Forest Officer (RFO) of Kane Wildlife Sanctuary, Jumgo Geyi, and RFO of Laipulia Forest Range, Kenjum Membom.

According to officials, the python, measuring approximately 10 feet in length and weighing around 15 kilograms, was captured by the villagers after it entered the residential area. The villagers handled the situation carefully and ensured that no injury was caused to the reptile.
