Itanagar, June 5 -- : The National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS), Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh, celebrated World Environment Day and its 13th foundation year by launching a massive plantation drive under the Government of India's flagship campaign, "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam," at Dirang in West Kameng district on Friday.
As part of the initiative, NIMAS planted 1,300 saplings, symbolising its 13-year journey of promoting adventure, leadership and environmental stewardship. More than 100 NIMAS staff members and 150 NCC cadets participated in the drive, demonstrating a collective commitment towards environmental conservation and sustainable development.
