Itanagar, April 3 -- In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Namsai Police have seized 57 grams of suspected heroin and arrested key accused persons in two separate operations conducted within a span of 12 days. The operations were carried out under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Sangey Thinley.

In the first case on March 20, acting on credible inputs, a police team raided an abandoned rented premises near a petrol pump, about 1 km from Second Mile, Namsai, and apprehended Sujita Kungkung. During the search, around 15 grams of suspected heroin concealed in a soap case was recovered from her possession.
