Itanagar, May 15 -- In a coordinated anti-drug operation, the East Siang district administration, police, and Forest Department jointly destroyed wild Cannabis Sativa plants spread across nearly 12 acres of land behind the Veterinary Training Institute at 2 Mile, Pasighat on Thursday.
The operation was carried out by officials and personnel from the district administration, police, and Forest Department under the supervision of Town Magistrate Sanjay Taram (SDO) and Deputy Superintendent of Police and In-charge of the Anti-Drug Squad, Ayup Boko.
All legal procedures, including videography and documentation of the destruction process, were completed during the operation in accordance with prescribed norms.
