Itanagar, April 6 -- The Indian Army's Spearhead Division of Spear Corps organised a felicitation ceremony at Sigar Military Station in Arunachal Pradesh's East Siang district on Monday to honour the exemplary coordination between civil and military agencies in successfully combating the recent wildfire that affected Sigar and adjoining areas.
The wildfire, which posed a serious threat to civilian habitations as well as critical defence infrastructure, was effectively contained through swift and coordinated joint action. The operation involved deployment of Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs), water bowsers, and aerial firefighting support by the Indian Air Force, reflecting a high level of operational synergy.
