Itanagar, Oct. 1 -- Arunachal Pradesh Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force (HoFF) Santosh Kumar called on Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik at Lok Bhavan here today and discussed measures for conservation of the State's rich flora and fauna and protection of its biodiversity.
The discussions also covered initiatives to enhance green cover and ecological balance in urban areas.
The Governor said Arunachal Pradesh, with its vast forests, rich biodiversity and vibrant indigenous traditions, has a special responsibility towards environmental conservation.
