Itanagar, May 29 -- Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today laid the foundation stone for the new State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC)-cum-State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) Office building at the Civil Secretariat in Itanagar.
The foundation stone was laid in the presence of MLAs Techi Kaso, Nakap Nalo and Rode Bui.
Describing the project as a major step towards strengthening Arunachal Pradesh's disaster management mechanism, Khandu said the state-of-the-art facility would significantly enhance disaster preparedness and emergency response capabilities.
